Cycling and Mountain Biking

On 200 km of designated forest roads and paths, mountain bikers have a great way to explore the Katschberg.  The magical scenery of the Hohe Tauern National Park and the Nockberge are a thrill to the heart of every true mountain biker.  Together with the Lungau and the Nock Region, the over 600 km of mountain bike trails represent one of the most diverse mountain biking areas in all of Austria.

The Lungau Region's bike network radiates out like the points of a star, inviting all cyclists to embark on tours, be they laid back and relaxing, or a little more challenging.

Every turn of the pedal, every corner, a glorious sensation, far removed from noisy traffic and polluted air, heading for new heights, in so many ways.

Once you arrive at one of our friendly alpine huts, you will have definitely earned some of that hearty Carinthian cooking.  You will be able to kick back, take your time, enjoying the stillness of the mountains and great views of the surrounding countryside. If you still have something extra in your "tank", you might want to set out on foot to conquer one of our summits, before enjoying a relaxing return to the valley.
