Hiking on the Katschberg

Whether a leisurely hike or a challenging tour of the high peaks, clear way-markings and the free hiking  map will lead you out to some of the most beautiful spots in the alpine world of the Katschberg.

Some 200 km of marked hiking paths, ranging in elevation between 900 and 3100 meters, take you to magical places and rustic alpine huts, as you perhaps even rediscover your inner balance along the way.

Whether a leisurely stroll along the stream trail in Pöllatal - past crystal-clear mountain brooks, or a challenging tour of the summits, you are about to enjoy one-of-a-kind nature experiences and captivating scenery.

The lifts continue to run during the summer months - which means, you will have no problem reaching the trailhead for many a magnificent hike.  And all around, alpine huts invite you to stop in and take a well-earned refreshment break.

Our family hikes, such as the one to the Pritzhütte, can even be enjoyed if you happen to be pushing along a pram.

Our certified local hiking guides from the FRESCH:UP ski and sports center will lead you out to the most beautiful places and most friendly mountain huts on the Katschberg.
